Niki
MaryLee
presented a beautiful memorial for Carolyn Fisher. West Snyder Rotary
misses Carolyn very much. MaryLee also asked Niki to respond to
questions that were asked her at the DC. Niki said her first day in PA
in 2008 she was confused about procedures and could not speak English.
Comparing her schools in Italy and here she said here you can pick
subjects, in Italy you pick your high school and 1 subject for 1 class,
no extras, here she also liked chorus, band and sports. Niki
participated in the high school musical, lacrosse, and ski club. She
liked the games at Christmas and going to Florida. Her embarrassing
situation was the 1st day of school when she was unable to find her
class and understand everyone. Her favorite foods are pie, ice cream and
milk shakes, she did not like chicken and waffles. Her advice to out
going exchange students would be to believe in people. Niki enjoyed
dancing at the Prom, and had a good school year with friends at school,
not just all study. Nike thanked everyone for all their help. Niki said
being an exchange student was a wonderful one time experience.
