50/50

Howard won $4.00 for the 50/50 drawing, and Tammy drew the 7 of Clubs from the card deck. There is $139 in the pot.

Fines & Happy Dollars

Ray was Sergeant of Arms and the questions were: What were the names of the First RI president and his wife-I did not get the names-What was the name of West Snyder's 1st president's wife-Mary-What is next years motto-The Future is in Your Hands.

Sharon had a Happy Dollar for her and Howard's 43rd Anniversary. Howard had a Happy Dollar because him and his grandsons attended a Phillies game and it did not rain.

Next Club Year

Andrew will take over as Web Master when Tammy leaves. LaMar and the club wished Tammy and Bryan best wishes in their new move. Sue, John, Mihai, Howard and Lamar will be the directors next year, Sharon and Becky will not be able to vote. The DG will be at our meeting next week to install the new officers. Also Dave Snyder from Canada will be a guest.

Thank You

LaMar read thank you notes from Kevin Yakamook and the 2009 class for the donation for the Senior Celebration.

Four Avenues

MaryLee asked Howard to talk about the 4 avenues of Rotary International-International, Community, Vocational and Club. Howard hopes to adopt a family next year, and that would be a community project, also the dictionary program, the student loan program, the care & share program, and the Easter egg poster contest and egg hunt.

Vocational consists of talking to kids about vocations thru business professionals. Also vocational awards. October is Vocational service month.

The International program is Group Study programs, and student exchange.

Club service consists of fund raisers such as the golf tournament, the Beaver Fair and the Chinese Auction. Becky will chair the Vocational Service, Sharon will chair the International Service, LaMar will chair Community Service.

Family Picnic

The family picnic will be August 11th at MaryLee and LaMar's at 6:00. The club will furnish meat, and members should bring a covered dish.
