Tammy won $5.00 for the 50/50 drawing and Ray drew the 7 of Spades from the card deck. There is $30 in the pot.  We are looking for the queen of hearts. 

Fines & Happy Dollars

MaryLee was Sergeant of Arms and her questions were: What is the 21 gun salute-1776, In Oct. 1782 where did the British surrender-Yorktown, where did fireworks originate-China.

Jean had a happy dollar because tomorrow July 2nd is her and David's 41st wedding anniversary. Tammy had a happy dollar because she is at the other end of the table.

Guests

Joan and Bob Steinberg were guests. They are members of Lewisburg Downtown Club.

08-09 Committees

LaMar passed around the sheet for members to sign up for programs, and other committees for the new year. LaMar's board members will be Howard, Becky, Jean, John and Tammy.

100 Year Old Churches

Charlie and Elaine Benner were also guests, and had a program about 100 year old churches in Snyder County. Zion church in Port Treverton was built with hand made bricks. Some of these churches include Zion Arbogast and Leiningers, Oriental, St. Thomas Mennonite, Ebenezer, St. Paul's or Erdley's, Salem Evangelical, Salem United Methodist, Selinsgrove Episcopal, Crossroads Mennonite, Fremont Church and school, Aline, Freemont Methodist, Freeburg Methodist, and Freeburg, UCC and Lutheran, Water St. Methodist, First Reformed in Middleburg, Salem Independent which was Benner's Bakery, Zion in Kissimmee, Hummels Wharf Methodist, Boyer's Mennonite, Penns Creek UCC and also Zion Methodist, Christ Church in Beaver Springs, Beavertown Lutheran, now Davy Jones Museum, Beavertown Methodist, and St. Paul's UCC, Daniel's Methodist, Grubb's Lutheran, Hassinger's White & Hassinger's Brick, Bannerville Brethren, and Bannerville C.M. & A, St. John's Ridge, Three River's Union Church, Beaver Springs Baptist, and Man beck's Mennonite, Troxelville's Methodist and Messiah Lutheran, and also Troxelville UCC., Trinity and Paradise United Methodist in McClure, St. Peters Lutheran in Kreamer, Shamokin Dam Methodist and St. Matthews Lutheran St. Paul's Lutheran in Middlecreek, and Shreiners. Most of these old churches are still in use, and some have original furniture and windows.
