Howard won $6.00 for the 50/50 drawing and Darcy drew the 7 of Diamonds from the card deck. There is $59 in the pot.  We are looking for the queen of hearts.

Fines and Happy Dollars

Gary was Sergeant of Arms and his questions were: What metal did Michael Phelps win-Gold, How many metals does the US have as of day 4-22, How much does it cost to ship an Olympic horse to Beijing-$20,000.00, How many Olympic event are there-400.

Sharon had a happy dollar because she was able to get medicine for her poison.

Rotary Leadership Institute

This was the 1st week of Sharon's 4 week membership plan. Members suggested people as potential members.

Membership

Howard introduced DG Jim Gruber. This year's theme is Make Dreams Real. DG Jim's dreams are about health, water, literacy, and hunger. He would like each club to sponsor a food drive for their local community. Some clubs might want to work with the local Boy Scout Troup. India, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Nigeria are the countries left with polio. Some clubs are using the Purple Pinkies for Polio Plus Program. Each member gets a pinkie painted purple, and donates $.60 which is the cost for one vial of polio vaccine. DG Jim also talked about membership. His goal is to have 400 people attend the District Conference in the Pocono's. Out club presented DG Jim with a $50.00 donation to help make dreams real.
