50/50

Jean won $5.00 for the 50/50 drawing, and MaryLee drew the 10 of Clubs from the card deck. There is $107 in the pot and 36 cards in the deck.

Fines and Happy Dollars

MaryLee was Sergeant of Arms and members had to pay fines if they were not a Philadelphia Phillies fan, if members did not know that the Phillies play the Colorado Rockies tomorrow night, if members did not know that Brittany Spears was driving without a license and the judge awarded custody of her children to her husband, also whose death is being investigated where a king might have to appear (Princess Di) and which airport disgraced returning military members from Iraq (Oakland). MaryLee had a happy dollar because they had a horse program at their farm last weekend, and the money raised went to the Erica and Ashley Foundation, which helps people in need in the area. Tammy had a happy dollar because her daughter Cara, Flavia and her friend Alania were guests at the meeting.

You Make A Difference

President Tammy presented Carolyn with a You Make a Difference pin for her help with English lessons for Flavia.

This group also offers child care for 3 age groups of children. The group offers programs, crafts, speakers, Christian videos, and refreshments at their weekly meetings. The group meets every Thursday morning from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, and all women are invited to attend.
