Sharon won $5.00 for the 50/50 drawing and LaMar drew the Queen of Hearts  from the card deck. There was $55 in the pot.  Congratulations LaMar. 

Fines & Happy Dollars

Tim Weller was Sergeant of Arms and his questions were: What was the score of the Phillies ball game on Monday-20-4 Phillies won, What territories can vote in a primary election, but not in the general election-Puerto Rico, What is the annual county budget for Snyder County-13.7 million, and in what year was Joe Kantz born-1971.

Elaine had a happy dollar because her new church in Selinsgrove is finished. Ray had a happy dollar because the Phillies scored 35 runs this weekend.

John reminded members to get golf tournament hole sponsors.

In June MaryLee and Howard will be in charge of programs, and Ray will be Sergeant of Arms. $5.00 for the cards.

Commissioner

Jane introduced Snyder County Commissioner Joe Kantz.. Joe talked about what might be some helpful preparations if someone was considering running for the position of commissioner. Be able to multi-task, some business experience would help, to be able to be a manager, good communication skills, be a good listener, and also be a babysitter. Commissioners oversee and manage day to day operations of the county, and also are responsible for chairing various committees. There are about 250 county employees in Snyder County. Commissioners work closely with the judge and court systems. Joe asked club members to complete a short survey, and offer suggestions to make a better county pay system. All county employees have a job description, and all employees will be evaluated this year.
