50/50

Mihai won $5.00 for the 50/50 drawing and Virginia drew the 9 of Spades from the card deck. There is $50 in the pot and 41 cards in the deck.  We are now looking for the Queen of Hearts.

Fines & Happy Dollars

Howard paid a fine for leaving early. Becky had a happy dollar because she has a new granddaughter Olivia Rebecca.

Golf Tournament

John asked members to get sponsors for the golf tournament. Sharon will make flyers to hand out to the sponsors, and to the teams at the tournament.

Recycling

Deb Wolfe the Snyder County Recycling Coordinator was a guest. Most of the paper recycled in Snyder County goes to farmers. Scrap steel cannot be recycled with steel cans. Glass must be jars or bottles with screw tops. Mirrors, plate glass, window glass or light bulbs cannot be recycled. 2 liter soda bottles and some shampoo bottles are #1 plastic. Milk jugs and laundry detergent bottles are #2 plastics. Plastic yogurt and butter dished cannot be recycled. Beavertown, Beaver Springs and McClure may lose their recycling drop offs due to lack of funding.
