DG Corbett Monica

Guests were District Governor Corbett Monica and Assistant District Governor Carl Askew. The 2007-2008 Rotary motto is Rotary Shares. This is the 102nd year for Rotary International, and the 50th year for District 7370 and the West Snyder Rotary Club. Everything Rotary does involves sharing. Rotary is a premier service club, and members must do something every day that involves sharing. The 4 Rotary avenues are Community Service, Club Service, Vocational Service and International Service. All clubs must focus on membership, membership workshops can be used to get new members and keep existing members. The 2007 Rotary year will continue to emphasize programs for water, health, hunger, literacy and Rotary family. Corbett's 1st goal for 2007-08 is for each club in the 7370 District to gain 5 new members, for a total of 1,000 members by December 31st 2007. His 2nd goal is for each member to participate in a Rotary International program, and the 3rd goal is for every Rotarian to contribute to the Rotary Foundation. Members should be saying yes to Rotary and Service Above Self.
