50/50

Sharon won $5.00 for the 50/50 drawing.  Howard drew the King of Hearts from the card deck. There is $11 in the pot and 52 cards in the deck.  Watch out for those jokers.  They will make you pay.

Fines and Happy Dollars

MaryLee was Sergeant of Arms, and her questions were: Where are the race horse Barbaro's ashes buried-Churchill Downs, Which candidate depended on Florida for all his votes-Juliano, What bill did 2/3 of the Senate approve-Stimulus package, Which schools in the Midd-West district had school today-the High School and the Middleburg Middle School, the rest of the schools cancelled because of icy roads, and these kids were already at school. Members were also fined if they were sitting beside the same person they sat beside at last week's meeting.

Howard had a happy dollar because he finally got make ups from Ray, and because he got back home safe this morning from the school bus run on the icy roads. Sharon Had a happy dollar because she heard from Tristana and Bianca, and because she was chosen to be the chair person for membership. Sue had a happy dollar for Mihas becoming a US citizen.

Thank You

Elaine brought some thank you notes for the dictionaries from the Middleburg 3rd graders.

Fund Raisers

At the Car Wash

John's guest and speaker was Phil Walter. Phil has opened the new car wash in Beaver Springs. Phil has wanted to do this for a long time, and finally got the opportunity. The car wash is very state of the art. The washer is Lazar and measures length, width, and height of each car going through. The price for a wash is from $5.00-$9.00 depending on extras like undercarriage wash, wax and also the car can be dried. The water is not recycled now, but the equipment is capable if it becomes a requirement. All soaps and detergents are bio-degradable. The average wash is 3-6 minutes, and uses about 4 gallons of water. The car wash is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Phil is excited about starting new business ventures is the Beavertown-Beaver Springs area.
