Tammy won $6.00 for the 50/50 drawing.  MaryLee drew the 2 of Spades from the new card deck. There is $6 in the pot and 53 cards in the deck.  Watch out for those jokers.  They will make you pay.

Fines and Happy Dollars

MaryLee was Sergeant of Arms and members had to pay fines if they did not know the following questions: Gary had to pay a fine because he could not be at the meeting last week. What candidate dropped out of the presidential nomination race today-Fred Thompson. The Fed dropped the interest rate today, what percent-3/4 of a percent. How much did the Dow drop today-460 points, but rebounded to 128 points down. What teams will play in the Super Bowl-New England Patriots and the New York Giants. Name two movies nominated for an Oscar today-No Country for Old Men and There Will Be Blood. Why were there 150 people made homeless in MA-16 row homes burned.

Mihai had a happy dollar for becoming a citizen.

Valentine Baskets

Sue passed a sign-up sheet for Valentine fruit baskets. Members can give a basket to a shut-in they know, or someone who just needs some cheering up.
