MaryLee won $6.00 for the 50/50 drawing, and Jean drew the Ace of Hearts from the card deck.  There is $132 in the pot and 32 cards in the deck.

Flavia had questions about Brazil. What is the capital of Brazil - Bruzilla, the currency used in Brazil is the real, Order and Progress is expressed on Brazil’s flag, and the most important celebration in Brazil is a Carnival, similar to Mardi Gras, and the president of Brazil is L’ola.

Thank You

A thank you was read from the school district for the 3rd grade dictionaries. Kathryn Narehood thanked the club for inviting her to the Care and Share dinner.

New Members

Installation of new members will be in January.

Christmas Traditions

Jean had a program on Christmas traditions in other countries. Club members helped by reading customs from Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, New Zealand, Romania, Russia, and Portugal, and the last country was Brazil, and Flavia helped with that.

Gates Foundation

The Gates Foundation has challenged Rotary to match a gift of $100 million for the Polio Plus Program. We are given 3 years to meet the challenge.
