MACC
Rich Hess from the MACC talked about some new
programs at the MACC. Rich said grants for this year are less because of
the war and hurricane Katrina. Rich would like to see some new programs
for teens and kids to get them more active. The MACC has an open door
policy, and Rich wants to know about any problems anybody might see. The
older adult programs like Strut and Stroll and Silver Sneakers are going
well, with good attendance. The MACC will be offering an after school
program again next year, and also Summer camps this Summer. Some of the
fund raisers for the MACC are golf, racquetball, and basketball
tournaments, chicken BBQ's and bear and basket bingos. Our Rotary club
will be eligible for a $1,000.00 grant the beginning of July, and
possibly this could go to the MACC to buy some equipment for kids.

will be an Auction for Relay for Life. Everyone should bring an item or
